OUTER DARKNESS:
I have always been fascinated with the concept of spiritual warfare. Jesus said that our enemy, The Devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. What if he had you in his sights?

I started writing with a general idea in mind, and as the pages flew by, this story took on a life of it’s own, as they say. The end result is quite a bit different from what I first envisioned. I spent altogether too long writing this story, and altogether too long editing it as well. I am happy with the final novel I hope you will enjoy it, and find it personally challenging as well.

Story synopsis:
What would you do if your family was targeted for destruction by a violent Satanic cult? That’s the position that Pastor Jim DiMario finds himself in – but has he found out too late?

A successful senior pastor of a large suburban church, Jim finds the comfortable predictability of his life beginning to unravel when he starts investigating a series of bizarre animal mutilations that have taken place in his quiet, upscale community.

Seemingly by chance, he meets two strangers in his quest for the truth – a sheriff’s deputy, and a TV news reporter, each of whom have their own reasons to investigate the grisly mutilations.

Pastor Jim soon finds himself in too deep when bad things start to happen to his friends and family. His world spinning desperately out of control, Jim finally discovers that he, his family, and his church are the focus of a dangerous Satanic cult – the shadowy Temple of Anubis, who’s activities and true intentions are much more sinister than mere animal mutilations.

With time ticking away just before Samhain, the most unholy night for the occultists, Jim and his new-found friends face an all-or-nothing gamble to save his daughter’s life from the hands of the Satanists who have abducted her. Will he realize too late that his worst enemy is a member of his own inner circle?

OUTER DARKNESS is a story of betrayal and evil incarnate, living secretly among us. It is also an account of faith, unconditional love, and redemption.
